What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is:

MBSR, or Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, is an 8-week stress reduction course based on the development of mindfulness. This program is protected by copyright. It combines mindfulness meditation, breathing techniques and gentle movements to reduce stress and find more balance in life.

During MBSR training, we work on:

Consciously changing our habits and automatic reactions

Learning how to experience contact with our own body and how to observe the thoughts and emotions that appear in us

Developing the ability to notice phenomena that we usually do not notice in our everyday life

Learning how to actively and consciously face everyday difficulties and cope more effectively with difficult and stressful situations.

The MBSR program was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979 at the Stress Reduction Clinic at the Medical University of Massachusetts in Worcester (USA, and is known worldwide for its scientifically proven effects on stress reduction.
